REGISTRATION & PAYMENT

Please note that course registration is binding and forms a legal contract. The minimum duration of all regular classes (both individual and group) is 3 months, with the exception of special courses.

You will receive invoices monthly, at least one week before the first day of the following month. We kindly ask that you complete all payments in advance via e-banking using the account number provided on your invoice. Please ensure that payments are made before the first day of the month in which your course starts. Please note that cash payments cannot be accepted. Thank you for your understanding.

MISSED LESSONS

In general, all lessons take place in person at the German Classes Basel studio. Lessons cannot be postponed, and course fees are non-refundable. However, in rare emergency situations (for example sickness), an individual lesson can be conducted online during the regularly scheduled time. If you do miss an individual lesson, you can make up for it: Every first Saturday of the month (excluding Basel-Stadt school holidays), you are welcome to join our group “City Walk”.

CANCELLATION POLICY

The cancellation notice period for each course is 4 weeks. This means the contract will automatically extend for a further 3 months unless it is cancelled in writing at least 4 weeks before the end of the current 3-month period.

 

HOLIDAYS

During the Basel-Stadt school holidays, classes take place as usual, with the exception of Christmas, Fasnacht, Easter, two weeks in the summer, and one week in the autumn. You are not obliged to book your lessons during all other Basel-Stadt school holiday periods, provided you email notice of your absence at least 4 weeks in advance. During the holidays, group lessons are billed based on the actual number of participants attending.
